COBS 4U2 wireless personal alarm system protects lone workers
19 February 2010
To protect lone workers Call-Systems Technology has launched the new COBS 4U2 wireless personal alarm system. Healthcare professionals, maintenance staff, security personnel and cleaners are often operating in hazardous situations – either alone, during unsocial hours or with high risk individuals.
The COBS 4U2 system comprises small, discrete emergency buttons that can be easily worn by workers on-site.
The wireless emergency buttons have built in positioning making it possible for the centralised receiver to locate the exact site of the distress signal, which speeds up critical response times.
The alarm message can be displayed as either a text message directly to COBS wireless telephones, as an SMS to a mobile phone or on a site plan on a PC screen. The emergency button can be worn on a belt clip, watch strap or pocket attachment.
The COBS 4U2 system can also be used as a digital key to prioritise access. When a user approaches a door, authorisation is verified or denied depending on the unique configuration of the transmitter.
